Remediation & Earthworks

Urban Regen offers a wide range of remediation and earthworks solutions, ensuring planning conditions are fully adhered to. As part of the overall site remediation strategy, the Urban Regen Team has the experience and capability to prepare brownfield sites for ongoing redevelopment, ensuring planning conditions are fully satisfied in the process.

Demolition & Asbestos Mitigation

Urban Regen offers a wide range of demolition services from excavation and removal of below-ground obstructions and redundant to full-scale demolition and asbestos removal as part of larger remediation projects.

On high-rise demolition projects this can involve the management of specialist demolition packages by NFDC demolition contractors, using both mechanical methods and explosives techniques.

Development Infrastructure

Many of our residential development customers recognise the benefit of establishing the developments primary infrastructure as part of the initial earthworks remediation operation. Our in-house civils team enable programme advancement with operational and commercial synergy, avoiding traditional multi contractor coordination issues.

Planning Support

Town & Country Planning Act 1990 – Complete support throughout the entire planning lifecycle.

Contamination is a material planning consideration. The TCPA is the general legislation dealing with the remediation of land where re-development on previously contaminated land is proposed. Support through the Planning Process would be provided by the UR team as required on a project by project basis.

Site Investigation & Risk Assessment

Information is key when assessing the potential costs associated with the redevelopment of brownfield sites. We work exclusively with a select group of Geo-environmental consultants on a project by project basis.

Land Appraisal & Tech Support

Assessment of potential land investment opportunities can be a difficult process with many of the issues that pose a risk to redevelopment requiring detailed scrutiny, before the full extent of risk or opportunity can be realised.

In many cases, an extensive intrusive investigation is not initially available and investors/land managers/consultants are obliged to assess the potential impact of constraints within the ground.

Structural Surveys & Design

Urban Regen offers a wide range of demolition services from excavation and removal of below ground obstructions and redundant to full scale demolition and asbestos removal as part of larger remediation projects.

The Urban Regen team can provide additional structural consultancy support on a project basis where schemes require.

Environmental Monitoring

The Urban Regen team meticulously enforces strict environmental controls, to mitigate potential pollution or nuisance events.

An intrinsic element of brownfield remediation and reclamation, environmental mitigation measures to reduce the impact of operations on adjacent stakeholders and the subsequent monitoring to assess the level of compliance are import to both Urban Regen and our Clients.

Geo-Environmental & Geo-Technical

Working with clients to support and develop remedial design solution to meet the specific site constraints.

As part of the all-risk lump sum fully warranted price Urban Regen offers it’s clients, the team engages with one of our select list of Consultants with whom we have developed long term working relationships to support the development of remedial design solutions to meet the specific site constraints.

Regulator Liaison & Full Validation

Urban Regen provides a full regulatory service. The Urban Regen team working in partnership with our Project Environmental Consultants will undertake all regulatory liaison throughout the design and delivery of the project, with regular progress updates to the Customer.

Retaining Structures

Assessment of potential land investment opportunities can be a difficult process with many of the issues that pose a risk to redevelopment requiring detailed scrutiny, before the full extent of risk or opportunity can be realised. The commercial realities of land development, planning guidance, and commercial constraints mean the emphasis during development design is on the best use of the available land within the proposed planning layout.

Invasive Weeds Management

Stricter enforcement provisions for wildlife offenses were introduced under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, we ensure complete compliance in all aspects of the law.

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 provides the primary controls on the release of non-native species into the wild in Great Britain. It is an offense under the Act to ‘plant or otherwise causes to grow in the wild’ any plant listed in Schedule 9, Part II.
